Most liveable city?Jonas Yang
Jonas is a Transportation Engineer and is part of Abley’s People and Places team. He helps to solve problems by providing transportation advice and implementing best practice design principles and analysing transportation data.
Jonas completed his Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Civil Engineering in 2019 from the University of Auckland. He became interested in transportation at university and during his internship at Traffic Design Group. Designing a built environment that is better for people, is what motivates Jonas.
Jonas began his career in 2019 at Beca in Auckland, where he became involved in road safety auditing, signalised intersection design, minor road safety improvement designs and traffic impact assessments. Jonas recently joined the Abley team after moving to Christchurch from Auckland where he looks to further develop his skills and gain a different perspective on how the transport system operates in Christchurch.
Jonas enjoys working in a team environment as he loves to see like-minded people working together with a common goal towards creating an environment that benefits the community.
In his spare time, Jonas immerses himself in a number of outdoor activities. When the weather is agreeable one is likely to find him in the hills partaking in a combination of hiking, mountaineering, bouldering, and sport climbing.
