Mark leads Abley’s Marketing and Products team and offers sales, marketing and business growth expertise.
Mark ensures Abley has the product and service roadmap that will enable Abley to continue to deliver world class transport planning, mobility and location technology solutions for our clients.
Mark is an experienced senior leader who has established a track record successfully developing and executing strategic customer growth opportunities for New Zealand businesses. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University and Diploma in Digital and Direct Marketing from the IDM (UK). He began his career at Air New Zealand before heading offshore.
From 1999-2008 Mark was based in London and gained experience in predominantly marketing, brand, customer loyalty and advertising roles at Air New Zealand and Star Alliance. He also held agency side Account Director roles at marketing services firms Harrison Troughton Wunderman and Fox Kalomaski.
Upon returning to New Zealand, Mark re-joined Air New Zealand where he held retail marketing, business development and customer loyalty leadership roles before joining the Mercury Retail Leadership Team as Head of Customer Acquisition in 2020. Whilst there, Mark led the customer stream on Mercury’s $430m acquisition of the Trustpower retail business which successfully completed in 2022.
In 2023 Mark joined the Abley Executive team, bringing his customer and commercial experience to help lead Abley’s next phase of growth.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys coaching his son’s Grafton cricket team, running and making best efforts to train the family Vizla, Lola.
