Liam is transportation engineer and is a member of Abley’s Safety Delivery team. He applies his technical skills and experiences to a broad spectrum of transportation planning and engineering services as he progresses through Abley’s graduate programme.
Liam completed his Bachelor’s (Hons) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Auckland in 2020, graduating with first class honours. During his time at University, he specialised in a range of topics including transportation, structural design, and construction management. It was through the learning and experience gained by undertaking transportation engineering papers that ignited his passion and interest for transport.
Liam began his engineering career in an undergraduate role at Mott McDonald where he gained consulting experience in the structural team. Whilst appreciating the technical structural experience received, this solidified his interest in the transportation engineering and planning field.
Liam loves being active, whether that is playing any sport, getting outdoors, skating, tramping, playing disc golf, or going on an adventure. He also loves playing board games with friends and family, with a game collection which is growing dangerously fast. He is always keen to learn new skills, with his latest pursuits being to learn how to play the ukulele and code in python. He enjoys discussing new transportation trends and active modes of travel.
