Abley team take on the ultimate Master Chef Challenge

On Wednesday 1st July, a group of 20 Abley Christchurch staff and partners enjoyed a fun evening out at the Riverside Kitchen cook school.

On arrival, aprons with coloured ribbons were handed to everyone, which determined which team you were in for the night. Each team was given a recipe and ingredients to make an hors d’oeuvre, which were then tasted and judged by everyone. Dishes included fresh spring rolls, dumplings, onion bhajis, crostini with pea puree, meatballs and a wasabi smoked salmon spoon – yum!

Competition and banter heated up for the quiz rounds (tasting ingredients and guessing dishes from around the world), with Team “Green” winning bragging rights for the evening, well done to Matthew Noon and Gavin Jeter.

The finale of the evening was a delicious roast lamb dinner for everyone cooked by the Riverside Kitchen chef, followed by a very impressive layered crepe cake for dessert.

Thanks to our social club for organising another great event!
