Tigs Slegers

Graduate Transportation Engineer
BE (Hons)

Tigs is a Graduate Transportation Engineer in the Community and Place team. She manages the day-to-day delivery of CarbonWise alongside her work supporting the Community and Place team..

About Tigs

Tigs graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering. As part of her final year project, she developed a model for New Zealand cities to compare their Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions across years using global carbon emission accounting guidelines.

Since joining Abley in 2023 she has been involved in projects across the business including in communication and engagement, road safety, strategy and planning, transport engineering and planning, and the delivery of CarbonWise.

Outside of work, Tigs is an avid skier, her interest in sustainability is driven by a keen awareness of the wider impacts of transport-related emissions.
