Wendy is a Senior Transportation Engineer in Abley’s Land Development team.
Wendy prepares Integrated Transport Assessments to support resource consent and plan change applications. She provides resource consent review support to a few local councils in New Zealand and assists Councils in making decisions for resource consents. Wendy and the wider Abley team also assist Councils in their district plan reviews.
Wendy completed her honours degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Canterbury and started working as a Transportation Engineer in New Zealand at the end of 2011.
She joined Abley in 2014 and is based in the Christchurch office. She understands the legislative and planning framework that governs land transport decisions and has a background in transport modelling.
Wendy has an in-depth knowledge of assessing developments against district plan rules through her involvement in the compilation of numerous Integrated Transport Assessments. Wendy uses her skills to provide transport design inputs for developments and assess transport effects of developments. She has assisted private and public sector clients from transportation planning to modelling projects.
Wendy likes to be involved in complex transport planning or consenting projects where she can challenge her skills and gain valuable experience.
