Our commitment

Carbon reduction

We are committed to measuring and publicly reporting our greenhouse gas emissions. As certified by the Toitū CarbonReduce program, our emissions are measured year on year, and we are taking steps to reduce those impacts.

We are targeting a 5% reduction in our carbon footprint (year on year between 2020 and 2025). This reduction will keep our carbon emissions within the international targets set to keep global warming to less than 1.5C.

Sustainability

Slowing and reversing climate change is now an urgent concern. Reducing carbon emissions from transport is critical and we are equally committed to reducing our own carbon footprint.

We offer a range of sustainable transport solutions. We advocate for walking, cycling and public transport, and we use our voice as industry experts to promote active transport nationally and internationally.

As a proud member of the Sustainable Business Council, we’re working alongside 135 other members to mobilise New Zealand’s businesses to build a thriving and sustainable future for all.

Health + safety

Our people come first in everything we do. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.  Our policy and processes ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 by systematically identifying and controlling all hazards in the workplace. But we go beyond this with our range of people first wellbeing initiatives and flexible working arrangements that support our people to live their best lives.

We currently hold a gold certificate with Sitewise (which indicates a score of 90% and above) for our Health and Safety systems. And we are registered on the Local Authority Contractor register in New Zealand with SHE Health and Safety Software.

Diversity + inclusion

A unique workplace, makes a diverse workplace.  Engaging in that uniqueness makes an inclusive workplace.  We pride ourselves on our diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the uniqueness of our people.  As a member of the Diversity Agenda we seek to implement changes that will positively impact all of our people, act fairly and inclusively at all times and lead the way in building awareness and creating opportunity for our people.

Communities

Our community includes our clients, our team and the people of the cities and countries we work in.

We work to make our roads safer, our towns healthier, more enjoyable places to live, and our businesses more efficient. Our involvement in initiatives such as the Innovating Streets program and the rebuild of schools throughout New Zealand are examples of how our team can use their transportation and spatial expertise to help our communities.
