Rahul Kumar

Rahul’s core skill set includes providing transport planning advice and carrying out engineering design of transport facilities for public and private sector clients.

For property developers, Rahul prepares integrated transport assessments to support proposed developments and help resolve any transport related issues that are posed at the site.

Rahul’s knowledge in design allows him to help clients collate stakeholder requirements into a scheme level design for new pedestrian, cycling and public transport facilities.

About Rahul

Rahul completed his Civil Engineering degree with honours from the University of Auckland.

He began his career by completing a summer of work experience with a traffic planning consultancy in Auckland where he developed his skills in preparing integrated transport assessments for high density residential developments.

After developing a knowledge base in transport planning, he moved to Abley as a Graduate Transportation Engineer in 2016.  At Abley he continued working for developers whilst simultaneously developing his transport design skills under the guidance of Abley’s expert technical directors.

Over time Rahul has honed his design skills on various projects and has in turn become an expert within Abley on design related projects.

Rahul gets a thrill from working collaboratively in a team and getting results, whether it be in a work environment or on the football pitch winning games.
