What you’ll be doing

That of course will depend on what profession your experience is in.  Regardless of where your skills and experience lie, our technical roles are recognised internally and externally for their knowledge and skill.  They are the core of the success of our business.  Technical roles primarily develop and deliver technical solutions but also lead the business working with clients, identifying leads and delivering jobs.

For those with significant experience, you will use your detailed technical understanding of your area of expertise to lead and identify business opportunities principally within a designated business delivery team, but also wider. The technical roles also contribute to quality assurance of deliverables, and you will be identified as a ‘port of call’ for support and internal training within your specialist technical knowledge and skill.

  • A brilliant communicator– you’ll be chatting to people in-person, via email or video conferencing, and in meetings.

  • Some technical skills – If you are a transport professional, we would expect you to have an engineering or transport planning qualification and at least five years’ experience in the transport industry. For spatial roles, you will have at least five years’ experience with Esri software products.
