About Erin

Erin completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and then completed a professional Masters in Town and Regional Planning, both at the University of Pretoria, in South Africa.

She began her career at a civil engineering consultancy in Johannesburg where she involved in road and stormwater design for local and provincial authorities. It was here that she was recognised nationally as authoring the best geotechnical dissertation.

She then joined Hatch Africa where she was involved in a variety of transport projects including designing and forecasting patronage for mass transport systems, autonomous vehicle policy creation and active mobility planning design as part of a wider project to enhance public transport system functioning. Her exposure to various countries and projects allowed her to gain an appreciation for addressing local needs with global expertise.

In 2022 Erin moved to New Zealand with her fiancé and joined Abley.

Erin is passionate about sustainability and appreciates the need to balance humanity, the economy and the environment in advancing New Zealand.

She thrives on challenging the status-quo of traffic and transport engineering and mindsets, which often means going the extra mile to enable clients and communities alike to pivot and embrace change.
